With over 30 years of experience in elected office, Libby is a seasoned advocate and policymaker who has dedicated her career to advancing social justice and community-driven change. As the longest-serving MP for Vancouver East (1997–2015), past Deputy Leader and House Leader for the NDP,  a recipient of the Order of Canada, and a Vancouver City Councillor (1982–1993), she has deep expertise in navigating government systems, building effective advocacy campaigns, and turning grassroots activism into tangible policy wins.

Matt has over 35 years working in and with non-profits. Most of these have been small organizations where either he was a staff member covering a lot of areas or a consultant helping to move things along.

He has been awarded numerous grants in Canada (and the U.S.); worked in curriculum development/training for local, provincial and national labour unions and non-profits; helped to design and facilitate community based research with non-profit and academic partners; acted as a publicist for a non-profit arts organization, an indie book publisher, and two environmental non-profits; managed national non-profits and held senior positions in non-profits and more.
